Natalie Phillips holds her Juris Doctor from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law and her BA in Philosophy from the City University of New York, Brooklyn College.
As a law student, Natalie participated in the Immigration Law Externship clinic, where she assisted in preparing applications for various forms of relief including asylum claims and waivers of inadmissibility. Natalie interned at the HIV Law Project, an organization dedicated to serving the legal needs of the immigrant population living with HIV or AIDS.
As a law student Natalie also organized a panel discussion on Domestic Violence exploring issues affecting non-traditional groups, particularly, immigrants and the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender (LGBT) community. Natalie interned at the New York State Department of Labor focusing on immigrant workers rights, tackling issues of wage theft against immigrants and enforcement of labor standards and protections.
